Belle Star was born in 1848 in the town of Carthage, Missouri. In the 1860s, Belle became friends with many bank robbers, and decided to join an outlaw gang with Jim Reed. In August of 1874, Deputy Sheriff John T. Morris of Collin County, Texas, killed Jim Reed. Belle kept robbing and getting into trouble, but in Feb. 3, 1889 she was killed by an unknown person.
